Know what’s totally cool?  When people go out of their way to fellowship together!  Despite family time, friends, facebook, TV, sports, books, chores, sleep and oodles of homework, we manage to come together for some quality time on Sunday evenings.  We have a few that travel clear across the city to get here.  What draws them?  Friends, games, fun, lots of laughs and time to share.   Youth Group – You should be here!

Mission Trip – 2019 – Rockport, Texas

We were at Rockport, Texas from July 20-27. Working alongside other youth from around the country, we helped restore a family home that was damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. We appreciated all the prayers for our safety as we were led out of our comfort zone.

Mission Trip – 2017 – Puerto Rico

From July 21-29, the 2017 Youth Mission in Puerto Rico.  It has been 10 years since the youth group has boarded an airplane to get to a mission destination.  We are partnering with Group International Mission Trips, serving alongside other groups.  We all had an amazing experience on our trip to Puerto Rico. We really felt (and needed) the prayers as we began our travel. A medical emergency on board our first flight necessitated an unexpected landing in Billings, MT. We missed our connecting flight to Puerto Rico, which meant we were unable to pick up our rental vehicle until the next day. American Airlines gave us food and taxi vouchers and a room in a nice hotel. That made the 24 hour travel experience a little better. We then picked up our van and traveled to the center of the island and enjoyed a lively worship service at a local church. It was an excellent way to begin our week in Cayay. We met the staff and fellow servants at the retreat center and enjoyed exploring the local area. Monday morning we met our residents and began working on their homes. We painted, did small repair works and enjoyed fellowship with the residents and fellow servants on our teams. It was very hot and humid so we were happy to have many hands to do the work. On our free day we explored the rain forest and the beach. Puerto Rico is such a beautiful tropical place! We then returned to the homes and finished up our work and presented gifts and pictures to the residents. They welcomed these with tears in their eyes. What a moment that was! This was an unforgettable experience and we cannot adequately thank all who supported us in prayer and funding. The opportunity to see God’s beauty in people and place along with the chance to grow in faith and Spirit was life changing! We, Jennifer, Emma, Jenny, Beth, Jane and Terry, offer our humble thanks and gratitude.
